Sports Faith International

Sports Faith International is an initiative that recognizes athletes and others involved in sports who lead exemplary lives.  High school, college, and professional athletes and coaches are inducted into SFI's "Hall of Fame" and other awards are given every year in special ceremonies that take place at Halas Hall and other venues in the Chicago area. Selections are made by the SFI staff from nominations that are sent in mostly by teachers, school administrators, and others.  SFI also recognizes great athletes and sports figures who lived faithful lives, but who are no longer with us.  These include Pope John Paul II, George Halas, Vince Lombardi, Wellington Mara, Brian Piccolo, and Art Rooney.
